Today we are fortunate to have a great body of artistic works inspired by the Great Irish Famine. The famine has been remembered in a wide array of visual and written forms since the 19th Century. Most of these works have tried to reflect the horrors of this period in Irish History and have given people a sense of the reality of the Great Irish Famine.
